1 Timothy 1:16

¹⁶But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

Romans 10:9-10

⁹That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

• What two steps are described for salvation?
• After we believe that Jesus is who He proclaimed to be we must receive Him as our personal Savior. This salvation produces a changed life (like we see in Paul.)
